About Fatima
Fatima began her career with a Bachelor of Social Work from the University of Victoria and went on to earn her Master of Science in Marriage and Family Therapy from Northwestern University, one of the top programs in the United States.
Originally from British Columbia, she moved to Chicago to pursue her passion for working with couples, families, and individuals through an integrative, systemic approach.
Growing up in a biracial, bicultural, and multi-faith household, Fatima brings a deep understanding of the complexities of identity and how they shape both the individual and their relationships.
As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, she has experience supporting individuals navigating anxiety, self-esteem, identity development, and family-of-origin concerns, as well as couples facing challenges such as communication issues and infidelity.
Her work is especially focused on couples and individuals exploring racial and cultural identity, partners navigating business together, and individuals seeking to strengthen their professional confidence and growth.
Fatima feels honored to hold space for her clients and takes a collaborative, emotion-focused approach to ensure they feel safe exploring their needs, fears, and experiences. She recognizes that each person’s journey is unique and works at a pace that feels right for them.
Outside of her work, you can likely find her enjoying a coffee outdoors or spending time with her husband and family in the Vancouver area of British Columbia.
